There are very few things I believe in, believe in, and believe in

There’s Jane, the kids, the G-chord at the beginning of “Powderfinger,” and not much else. But I do want to acknowledge, on my blog, that I believe, deeply, in the serial comma.

  1. I’ll join you on the serial comma, but ever since someone made me memorize the AP Stylebook, I had to give that one up.

Question: How many spaces after a period?

  3. One space after a period. Two spaces is so retro!

  4. Yes. This Wikipedia passage would be gibberish w/o the serial comma: “Miley Cyrus originally auditioned for the role of the ‘best friend’ Lilly Romero, later changed to Lilly Truscott, but they thought she would be better for the main character, so she tried out for Zoe Stewart/Hannah Montana. Zoe Stewart was later changed to Chloe Stewart, which was eventually changed to Miley when she got the part. The names of Hannah Montana were changed a few times. Three of the previous names were Anna Cabana, Samantha York, and Alexis Texas.”
